Hero Spotlight: Tricia "I can truly enjoy life again"

I moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to attend UCLA and pursue my dreams in Hollywood as a model/actress. It was hard to be surrounded amongst so many beautiful women--I felt like I needed to look the part, so I ended up getting breast implants. At first, I loved the way I looked and thought they would help me land more jobs.

I started getting some minor health issues, and I didn't realize at the time all these were BII (Breast Implant Illness) related. I just thought I was prone to allergies and exhausted because I was on-the-go all the time. My hair had been falling out for a while, but again, I just assumed it was hormone issues and aging. I had brain fog, joint pain, dry skin, nights sweats, losing weight, stomach issues, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), UTI's (Urinary Tract Infection), cysts, the feeling of an elephant sitting on my chest, walking up the stairs and getting out of breath, losing weight (95 pounds), heart palpitations, tachycardia due to POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and never thought it would be because of my implants, but they absolutely were!!!

For 21 years, these toxic bags were slowly killing me. After hundreds of doctor appointments, multiple surgeries and tests, and two weeks at the Mayo Clinic, doctors would always tell me everything looked great and I looked so healthy based on my test results. This was incredibly frustrating. I discovered BII Healing with Nicole on Facebook (a Facebook group) and read story after story--it felt like they were talking about me. I decided to research more about BII and I'm so glad I did--it has changed my life.

It took me some time to finally book my consultation with a surgeon, but once I did, I was so ready. I knew this was the reason I felt like I was slowly dying. Most people tell you to get a few opinions before you settle on a doctor, but after reading so many stories about Dr. Chun, I knew he was going to be my surgeon. He's about 20 minutes from me (so that alone sold me), but he also is one of the best explant only surgeons in the country. Once I spoke to him, I felt so comfortable and was ready for this journey.

On 2/18/21, I said goodbye to my 21 year old saline implants and they had fungus growing inside them.

My journey did not stop here, it will continue for a while. The detox that comes after explant is a roller coaster of a ride, but thankfully I found one of the best functional medicine doctors/acupuncturist that focuses on healing the body with herbs, acupuncture and healthy eating. I would say 85% of my symptoms are gone and I continue to detox and get stronger by the day.

My energy is through the roof! Thankfully, I can truly enjoy life again. I am so thankful for Breast Implant Illness Healing with Nicole group on Facebook and of course, Dr. Chun in Newport Beach, CA. I am serious, I wouldn't be feeling the way I am without him.

I am strong, I am sexy, I am healthy and I am free of the toxic bags. Truth be told, I look so much better all natural!!!!
